Life, Death, Love, Loss

 Life, Death, Love, Loss

A loss is an opportunity to strengthen one’s character, one’s resolve.
A loss is an opportunity to deepen one’s strength itself.

All of the beautiful sentiments in the world
weigh less that a single act of love.

Birth and death are the same.
Both are transitions from one state of being to another.
Birth is the beginning of one’s path toward death.
Death is the beginning of one’s path toward birth.
Death is the ending of a path one’s traveled.
Birth is the ending of a path one’s traveled.
Birth and death are both beginnings.
Birth and death are both endings.
Birth and death are both transitions.
Birth and death are the same.

Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today.

Education is the foundation;
Understanding is the structure built upon it;
Growth is the life lived within its walls.

He is truly noble who is free from cares and lives in peace.

He who lives far from me yet walks righteously, is ever near me.

Live with a good heart,
and you will turn into a good spirit when you depart from this world.

Live your life as a monument to your soul.

Loss brings with it a deep awakening to reality.

Love is a path; Fear is a path; Choice belongs to the individual.

Medicine cures only the one who is not fated to die.

Not having been through the bitter winds that chilled me to the bone,
how else can the wafting perfume of the flower blossoms be truly appreciated?

Not kinsfolk nor friends nor enemies shall follow one in death;
we depart alone.

One’s name can only live in the hearts of others,
 for their brains shall soon forget.

Only by reason of having died does one enter into life a’new.

Praise and Blame, Loss and Gain, Pleasure and Sorrow…
all come and go like the wind.

The dread of death is a reflection of the attachment to life.
To become free of dread, free oneself of attachment.

The muddiest water, when let to stand, becomes clear.

The past is an illusion.
The future does not yet exhist.
Live in the now.

The true nature of life is flexibility.
The open heart is a heart of compassion.
Compassion is soft.
The true nature of death is inflexibility.
The closed heart is a heart lacking in compassion.
Non-compassion is rigid.

There is no shore to the bitter sea of birth and death.

This life is but one drop in an infinite ocean.
This life is but one link in the infinitely finite chain of birth and death.

To be able to look back upon one's life in satisfaction,
is to live twice satisfied.

We live in deeds, not in years.
We live in thoughts, not in breaths.

Without mercy for ourselves we cannot love the world.
