The Meditative
State Must Be Always
I thought:
Why do I dwell in constant
expectation of fear and dread?
Why not subdue that fear and dread
when it comes to me,
while maintaining the posture I am
in?
And so…
While I lay, should fear and dread
come upon me;
I will neither sit, nor stand, nor
walk…
until I have subdued that fear and
dread.
While I sit, should fear and dread
come upon me;
I will neither stand, nor walk,
nor lay down…
until I have subdued that fear and
dread.
While I stand, should fear and
dread come upon me;
I will neither walk, nor sit, nor
lay down…
until I have subdued that fear and
dread.
While I walk, should fear and
dread come upon me;
I will neither lay down, nor sit,
nor stand…
until I have subdued that fear and
dread.
I lay, I sit, I stand, I walk.
My posture itself does not change my opportunity.
The meditative state must be always.
